Getting Started with Invoice AI: Your First Five Steps

Welcome to Invoice AI! We're excited to help you streamline your invoicing process and take control of your business finances. This guide will walk you through the first five essential steps to get you up and running in no time.

Step 1: Complete Your Profile

First things first, let's make sure your invoices look professional. Navigate to the Settings page and fill out your business details. This includes your business name, address, and contact information. This information will automatically appear on every invoice you create.

Step 2: Add Your First Client

You can't send an invoice without a client! Head over to the Clients page and click "Add Client". Enter their name, email, and address. This saves you from typing their details every time you create an invoice.

Step 3: Create a New Invoice

This is where the magic happens. Go to the Invoices page and click "New Invoice". Select the client you just added, set the invoice date, and choose your payment terms. Our system will automatically calculate the due date for you.

Step 4: Add Line Items and Use AI Notes

Add the services or products you're billing for. Describe each item, set the quantity, and enter the price. Once you've added your items, scroll down to the "Notes" section and try our AI-powered note generator. It's a Pro feature that writes a friendly, professional closing note for you!

Step 5: Finalize and Send

Review your invoice one last time. Check the totals, dates, and client information. When you're ready, click "Finalize Invoice". This will assign an official invoice number and prepare it for sending. You can then download the PDF and email it directly to your client.
